Hi Parents,
 Just a reminder that we are still taking donations for the 8th grade basket for the Auction. Anything donated is greatly appreciated!! Our theme is date night.
We are working on the silent item, which I think is going to turn out so cool!!

Catholic Schools Week is NEXT WEEK! Be sure to look for our 8th grade insert in the newspaper coming out on Monday the 2nd. Also, 6th grade parents be sure to be tuned into KSIB throughout the week to listen to the 6th grade ads!!

Here is the list of activities for CSW next week:

Sunday: Eucharistic Celebration mass at 9 am at Holy Spirit. If your child is participating please have them to the church by 8:30.

Monday: Blue and Gold day for Faculty/Staff Appreciation. Students wear that blue and gold to show school spirit! Students are also to bring a sack lunch, milk will be provided.

Tuesday: Come As You Are Day!

Wednesday: Class Colors Day. Note--- The 8th are to be in mass attire for the morning as we are hosting the Chamber of Commerce to breakfast, after they can change into their class shirt.
SHARE-- FREE SOUP SUPPER for families interested in attending STM. Starts at 6pm on Wednesday at St. Malachy.

Thursday: Sports Day.

Friday: Grandparents Day/Mass. The kids should be dressed in their best to celebrate this special day!
Mass begins at 1:30 at Holy Spirit with a reception of cookies and punch afterwards.


I will take pictures like a mad woman and keep you updated on our fun! Pray the snow stays away!!

 Hello!   Dates to remember:  March 24th: Spirit Day March 30th: 8th Grade Parents:: Freshman Orientation April 7th: No School: PD/Good Friday  8th grade: They have finished up their unit on the Civil War and the reconstruction era. They are moving through the Progressive Era. We are going to do brief units on the Roaring 20s, WWI, WWII, and The Civil Rights Movement. In religion we have been reviewing topics. They will have a standardized religion test on Monday that the Diocese proctors.  7th grade: They are currently working on creating the Oregon Trail, Santa Fe Trail, or the Mormon Trail. We are reading about the Westward Expansion and that cause and effect of those migrating west. On Tuesday they will learn about the Gold Rush. In religion, they are learning about Epistles and the letters St. Paul wrote to those who were turning their back on God.  Hi parents! Important Dates: Dec. 17: Spirit Day Dec. 21: Ugly Sweater Day Dec. 22: Kids needs to bring a sack lunch! Mass with the Bishop. Kids are encouraged to wear Christmas colors if possible. Christmas caroling starts at 12:30.  Dec. 23- NO SCHOOL CHRISTMAS BREAK!!! **The 6th grade and 8th grade are participating in secret Santa within their classroom. This gift should not be expensive. Just a little something. Also, many students give their advent angels a little gift. This is not mandatory. If your child would like to give a little something, that is fine! It doesn't have to be super expensive.  Here is what is happening:  8th grade: The 8th grade wrapped up their unit on the Civil War and Reconstruction Era. They are moving through the Progressive Movement. We will be spending a day or two on the Women's Suffrage Movement before moving on to World War I.  In religion they complete a "pilgrimage" of the stations of the cross.
