Hi All, Next Thursday, May 4th, the 8th grade will be going to the High School to get a tour and to see what everyday life will be like. I have sent home permission slips yesterday and today. Please have your child get those signed and returned before next Thursday. Next Thursday is also the Lap-a-Thon. Please have your child bring pledges/donations. This day is a free Spirit Day since they will be running. Monday I will be sending home 8th grade yearbook order forms. If you would like one, please send the money into me by Thursday, May 4th. (The form will indicate how much they will cost.) You can make checks out to St. Malachy School. I usually hand the yearbooks out the night of graduation. Thank you to all of the parents for letting your child help with Ties and Tutus tonight!

The field trip to the State Capitol was a success! It was very interesting, and the kids were engaged especially with discussion and asking questions. Awesome job to all of the kiddos on the Invention Convention! There were a lot of neat ideas! (Please don't mind Sam who is photo bombing the group pictures. She can be seen posing.) Cross Walk We had a beautiful day for the Cross Walk! The kids looked awesome in white. The school photo turned out GREAT and can't wait to see it printed.
Noisy can collection tomorrow! Please bring changes for the Nigerian Seminary. The Rice Bowls were due today but will also be collected tomorrow. Thursday is the Crosswalk. Please have your child wear a plain white shirt for our school photo. Friday we do not have school. Nor do we on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday of next week, the week of the 17th. Please keep in mind that the public school DOES have school on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, so practices for sports and band are still in full swing. The 18th will be a B day and the 19th will be an A day. Have a blessed Easter!
Heads up middle school parents: your child will need a sack lunch for the State Capitol field trip on Thursday. We will be leaving the school at 8:30 and will return home before the buses leave at 3:10. Please sign those permission slips. Also, next Thursday we will be doing the Cross Walk. We are asking that all students wear white shirts. We are asking that these be plain white shirts with no large logos or designs on them. We are taking a school wide photo in the church. Thank you for your cooperation! Keep in mind that NEXT Friday the 14th we will NOT have school in honor of Good Friday. St. Malachy will NOT have school on the 17th-19th. We will resume classes on Thursday the 20th. Please remember that the public school does have school on Tuesday and Wednesday (18th &19th) for those band, track, and golf kiddos who will have practice before/after school. Don't forget about Invention Convention this Friday! Parents are able to tour the gym from 1 until 3.
