8th grade parents,   Keep in mind that tomorrow, Tuesday, the mandatory meeting for all new incoming freshman is at 6:00 PM at the high school! Your child needs to bring their rough draft class schedule.  Also, 8th grade Mass will be April 3rd.

Parents,  Reminder that conferences are today! The 6th grade is well into their first novel unit. This unit comes complete with a packet that they will do gradually. They are reading The Giver  and seem to really enjoy reading it and doing activities with it. The 7th grade just wrapped up their novel, The Night.  We had great conversation with this novel, and the kids loved reading about Elie Wiesel's experience. The 8th grade just wrapped up their Murder on the Orient Express novel. I think they enjoyed the movie a little more than the novel. ;)   They will start to get into their theme unit and read To Kill a Mockingbird.  For art, the 8th grade made paper mache. It wasn't their favorite... :) The 6th grade took a break from reading to participate in "The Community". I created different stations that surrounded the setting of our novel. Stations could include "seeing beyond", "sameness", and their job assignments. They are having a
