Hi Parents,  Because of the venue of our class trip, I will need two chaperones for Monday the 22nd. I will draw names if there are several of you who would like to go.If not, first come, first serve. Email if you are interested. Sorry for the late notice! Mark your calendars for 8th grade graduation on the 26th of May at 7:00 pm. There will be a reception afterward. Some of the 8th grade girls are making invitations as we speak.
F.Y.I  There will be a Spirit Day this Friday, May 12th. 8th grade parents be marking your calendars for graduation which is the 26th of May at Holy Spirit Church! The 8th grade field trip will be May 22nd. They are going to Adventureland. I will be sending out permission slips soon. The 8th grade has been busy with To Kill a Mockingbird. They will be finished with the book tomorrow, Wednesday! We do a lot of discussion throughout the book, and I think they actually like it... a little bit anyways! They will take a test on Friday over the novel and watch the movie next week. After that, they will be working on their research papers. Their topics usually stem from the book in some way. The 7th grade has a big project they are working on. They have to write a research paper then transform it into a speech of which they also have to make a presentation over Slides to present to the class. It's quite a bit, but we have plenty of time to work on it! Their projects are over differ
Just a reminder that the permission slips for the High School visit should be signed and returned by Thursday. I am sending home a yearbook form. The yearbooks will be $10. If you would like one, please indicate it on the form and send money with your child no later than Thursday, May 4th. Thursday is Lap-a-Thon. The 8th grade is scheduled to run at 10:00 but will be late due to their visit to the High School. We are hoping they run at 10:30. They may wear sweatpants on Thursday. Hopefully this rain will stop!
