January 14th-Spirit Day

January 31st-Feb 1-4: Catholic Schools Week

    Here are the themes for Catholic Schools Week:: Spirit Day, Dress as an adult, Dress as the letter of your name, Dress in your favorite sports team, and Mass attire for Grandparents Mass

Also for Catholic Schools Week:: 8th grade parents be on the look out for the Catholic Schools Week newspaper insert that week!


8th grade: In social studies they are just getting into the causes of WWI. They are going to learn about the war before moving into the roaring 20's which will be so fun!

In religion today they are learning about Epiphany and will be writing a modern day Epiphany. 


7th grade: In social studies they are starting the Revolutionary War. In religion they are learning about the Passion of Christ. 


6th grade: In social studies we are getting into ancient civilization by learning about the Stone Age before getting to Mesopotamia. This unit is so much fun!

In religion they finished their work with the Old Testament and moving onto learning more about the Church.

 Hello!   Dates to remember:  March 24th: Spirit Day March 30th: 8th Grade Parents:: Freshman Orientation April 7th: No School: PD/Good Friday  8th grade: They have finished up their unit on the Civil War and the reconstruction era. They are moving through the Progressive Era. We are going to do brief units on the Roaring 20s, WWI, WWII, and The Civil Rights Movement. In religion we have been reviewing topics. They will have a standardized religion test on Monday that the Diocese proctors.  7th grade: They are currently working on creating the Oregon Trail, Santa Fe Trail, or the Mormon Trail. We are reading about the Westward Expansion and that cause and effect of those migrating west. On Tuesday they will learn about the Gold Rush. In religion, they are learning about Epistles and the letters St. Paul wrote to those who were turning their back on God. They even wrote their own Epistles which are pretty good! 6th grade: They have their Ancient Rome test today and then will move on to

 Hi parents! Important Dates: Dec. 17: Spirit Day Dec. 21: Ugly Sweater Day Dec. 22: Kids needs to bring a sack lunch! Mass with the Bishop. Kids are encouraged to wear Christmas colors if possible. Christmas caroling starts at 12:30.  Dec. 23- NO SCHOOL CHRISTMAS BREAK!!! **The 6th grade and 8th grade are participating in secret Santa within their classroom. This gift should not be expensive. Just a little something. Also, many students give their advent angels a little gift. This is not mandatory. If your child would like to give a little something, that is fine! It doesn't have to be super expensive.  Here is what is happening:  8th grade: The 8th grade wrapped up their unit on the Civil War and Reconstruction Era. They are moving through the Progressive Movement. We will be spending a day or two on the Women's Suffrage Movement before moving on to World War I.  In religion they complete a "pilgrimage" of the stations of the cross.
