8th grade parents be marking your calendars for graduation which is the 26th of May at Holy Spirit Church!
The 8th grade field trip will be May 22nd. They are going to Adventureland. I will be sending out permission slips soon.
The 8th grade has been busy with To Kill a Mockingbird. They will be finished with the book tomorrow, Wednesday! We do a lot of discussion throughout the book, and I think they actually like it... a little bit anyways! They will take a test on Friday over the novel and watch the movie next week. After that, they will be working on their research papers. Their topics usually stem from the book in some way.
The 7th grade has a big project they are working on. They have to write a research paper then transform it into a speech of which they also have to make a presentation over Slides to present to the class. It's quite a bit, but we have plenty of time to work on it! Their projects are over different countries they are interested in.
The 6th grade is wrapping up their research papers already. Their topic was a famous person or group. There are some interesting topics. The rough draft is due tomorrow. After that, we will be working on a couple of short stories, creative writing, and analyzing famous speeches before the year is over.
THREE WEEKS FROM TOMORROW IS OUR LAST DAY OF SCHOOL! Crazy how the school year flies by!!
