Image result for geography bee    We had a few 8th grade students make it to the final round of the Geography Bee. They are: Jagger, Max, Denton,Olivia, and Kolbey! If you would like to watch your child participate in the finals, they will be December 18th directly following Mass.

Tomorrow, Wednesday the 3rd, is a noisy change collection for our Adopt-a-Family. We are also collecting donations for the Food Pantry.

The middle school is in the middle of decorating classrooms doors. The students will vote on their favorites next week. The proceeds go to a charity of the Civics Club's choosing.

Don't forget the Christmas concert is tomorrow!

We will not have school December 20 until January 1st due to Christmas Break. We will resume classes January 2nd. (Crazy to think it's that time of year already!!)

I will be hosting a Christmas Masa (Masa= table in Romanian) the week we get out for Christmas break. I will ask students to volunteer to bring different foods that could be found on a Moldovan Christmas table. It was one of my favorite things when I lived in Moldova, so I enjoy bringing it into the classroom. Your student does not have to volunteer to bring a food item. If it is a problem, just let me know!
The 8th grade also wanted to do Secret Santa. Again, if this is a problem, please let me know. We will reveal Santas at our Christmas Masa.

Parents,  The deadline for donations for the auction is this Friday! Anything is appreciated. Friday is a Spirit Day Students can bring Valentine's Day treats on the 14th if they would like.  Hello!   Dates to remember:  March 24th: Spirit Day March 30th: 8th Grade Parents:: Freshman Orientation April 7th: No School: PD/Good Friday  8th grade: They have finished up their unit on the Civil War and the reconstruction era. They are moving through the Progressive Era. We are going to do brief units on the Roaring 20s, WWI, WWII, and The Civil Rights Movement. In religion we have been reviewing topics. They will have a standardized religion test on Monday that the Diocese proctors.  7th grade: They are currently working on creating the Oregon Trail, Santa Fe Trail, or the Mormon Trail. We are reading about the Westward Expansion and that cause and effect of those migrating west. On Tuesday they will learn about the Gold Rush. In religion, they are learning about Epistles and the letters St. Paul wrote to those who were turning their back on God.
